Luggage from Lions Program
Picture this: A 13-year old young woman is moving from one foster care home to another.
You work for the agency that is picking her up. She comes out to your car with three, disposable black trash bags. They carry all of her possessions. How do you think she feels?
What if we could help her and others like her feel better? Do you think their self-esteem would go up a notch if they could carry their belongings in luggage rather than in trash bags.
The Kingman Mohave Lions have teemed up wtih CASA to do just that.
Consider donating your unneeded gently used luggage to the From Lions Program. Drop
luggage donations off at the Salvation Army or the Powerhouse Visitor Center.
Recycle for Sight
We participate with the Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation by collecting used eyeglasses to be recycled in Arizona and around the world. Arizona Lions have been recycling used eyeglasses for over 20 years.
With the help of the community, our Club processes about 3,000 eye glasses annually. To make a donation, bring any unbrocken used glasses to your nearest collection point:
Arizona National Bank (any Kingman location)
Jims House of Glass
Katherin Heidenreich Adult Center
Powerhouse Visitor Center
Walmart Vision Center
And most local eye care providers
